Mykola Riydni, together with fellow artists Ann Krivenzova and Sergey Popov, calling themselves SOSka Group (Ukrainian artist collective), they for example wear masks of the most famous politicians in Ukraine and panhandle on streets and the subway. It’s a not-so-subtle hint that political promises of change are impoverished. The video above is called ‘Barter’, in which the value of art is negotiated as the artists exchange a Cindy Sherman reproduction for a live chicken.
